Cookie Policy

Effective date: 2026-06-29

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies, browser storage data, and similar technical technologies GoHoardly uses, for what purposes, on what legal basis, and for how long. This document should be read together with the GoHoardly Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Imprint.

GoHoardly currently uses only technical storage solutions that are necessary for the operation of the service. We currently do not use analytics, marketing, remarketing, or profiling cookies.

1. Introduction

A cookie is a small data file that a website or web application may place in the user's browser or on the user's device. Similar technologies may include: browser localStorage or sessionStorage; authentication tokens; service workers; browser or PWA cache; and any technical solution that stores information on the user's device or accesses information from it.

2. Technical Storage Solutions Currently Used

TypePurposeLegal basisRetention
Supabase authentication session cookies or tokensLogin, maintaining the user session, identifying the user accountGDPR Art. 6(1)(b)Until session expires, logout, or browser deletion
Local Storage / browser app dataMaintaining login status, storing user settings (currency, preferences)GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)Until the setting is deleted, account deletion, or browser storage cleared
Service Worker and PWA cacheFaster app loading, basic PWA functionality, stable user experienceGDPR Art. 6(1)(b); security/operational: Art. 6(1)(f)Until cache is refreshed, deleted, or new service worker version installed
Technical identifiers from Cloudflare, Vercel, or other infrastructure providersSecurity, network traffic management, load balancing, abuse prevention, service availabilityGDPR Art. 6(1)(f), legitimate interestPer the relevant provider's technical and security settings

These technical solutions are necessary for the operation of the service and therefore do not require separate consent.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies We Do Not Use

GoHoardly currently does not use:

  • Google Analytics;
  • Meta Pixel;
  • Google Ads tracking code;
  • marketing cookies;
  • remarketing cookies;
  • advertising profiling;
  • heatmap or session recording services;
  • A/B testing cookies;
  • third-party behavioural tracking.

If such technologies are introduced in the future, they will be activated only after appropriate prior information has been provided and, where required, based on the user's prior consent.

4. Legal Basis

The legal basis for strictly necessary cookies and similar technical storage solutions is primarily Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, performance of a contract, because the user account, login, and the basic functions of the application would not work properly without them.

For technical solutions used for security, abuse prevention, network, and availability purposes, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, the service provider's legitimate interest in operating the service securely and reliably.

Any non-essential cookie, such as an analytics, marketing, or remarketing cookie, may be used only based on the user's prior consent.

5. Third Parties

The following infrastructure providers may be involved in the operation of the service: Cloudflare; Vercel; Supabase; Resend (transactional e-mail). These providers may use their own technical cookies or similar identifiers. Such technical storage is used only to the extent necessary. More detailed information is provided in the Privacy Policy.

6. Managing Cookies and Browser Storage

The user may delete or restrict the use of cookies, localStorage data, cache data, and other technical data stored in the browser at any time through the browser settings.

Please note that if cookies or browser storage data necessary for the operation of GoHoardly are deleted, restricted, or blocked, certain functions of GoHoardly may not work properly. For example, the user may need to log in again, or certain settings may be lost.

7. Consent Management

Because GoHoardly currently uses only technical storage solutions necessary for the operation of the service, a separate cookie banner or consent management interface is currently not required.

If non-essential cookies are introduced in the future, GoHoardly will provide an appropriate consent management interface. The user may withdraw consent at any time.

8. Changes

GoHoardly may amend this Cookie Policy, especially if: a new technical storage solution is introduced; analytics, marketing, or other non-essential cookies are used; the infrastructure changes; or a change in law or regulatory practice requires an update. The current version is always available on the website.
